BURKARD FAMILY - PRESS RELEASE


Saint-Gobain extends its agreement with the Burkard family until mid-2018
 

Baar - Saint-Gobain has informed the Burkard family that it exercises the option to extend the agreement to six months. The agreement concerning the sale of the Schenker-Winkler Holding (SWH) is now valid until 30 June 2018. Saint-Gobain retains the right to extend the agreement until 31 December 2018.
 

Urs Burkard, spokesperson of the founding family of Sika, stated: «The renewed extension of the agreement underlines the will and the mutual trust of both parties to bring this transaction to a successful closing». The family considers Saint-Gobain as the ideal successor as anchor shareholder and industrial partner for Sika to build the long-term successful future of the company.
