BAADER BANK TAKES OVER ROLE AS PORTFOLIO MANAGER - #1 AWARDED LONG/SHORT FUND 2016 - COOPERATION WITH MORGAN STANLEY

Morgan Stanley acts as prime broker for Peacock Capital

Düsseldorf, April 06, 2017: Investment boutique Peacock Capital, which specializes in European Small & Mid Caps and Long/Short strategies, has handed over portfolio management to Baader Bank headquartered in Munich. An eight-member team of portfolio managers and traders will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Peacock's long/short strategy (Peacock European Alpha Builder UI Fund). Results of the quantitative Peacock Opportunity Filter used for stock selection are implemented by Baader Bank.

The decision is triggered by the increasing share of institutional investors at Peacock Capital who appreciate a more pronounced team-based investment approach. Baader Bank is a well established asset management partner dedicated to Small & Mid Caps which Peacock Capital is specializes in.

Investors benefit from a broader lending facility in Small & Mid Caps as well from very attractive lending rates. The Peacock European Alpha Builder Fund was awarded the best Absolute Return Equities fund in 2016 by Finanzen-Verlag (Euro, Börse Online, Euro am Sonntag) with a return of close to 10%. The fund ranks first in Citywire's peer group "Long/Short Equities market neutral" in 2016. Berenberg Bank acts as custodian, Universal Investment, based in Frankfurt, is the managing company.

Peacock Capital is also advisor to the Peacock European Best Value AMI Fund. Returning more than 30% since June 2016 the fund ranks as one of the best European Small Cap Funds according to Citywire. The fund has not yet been closed for new investors.
