UK tech awards 2017 - shortlist announced
The shortlist for the UK tech awards has been announced by the judging panel, recognising the efforts of the flourishing UK tech industry.
The UK tech awards are now in their 17th consecutive year, sponsored by PwC in association with Silicon Valley Bank and produced by Ford Sinclair Ltd. They reflect the contribution of both public and private fast-growing and innovative home-grown tech companies.
Jass Sarai, UK technology industry leader at PwC, said:
"The voting panel was really impressed by the sheer number of high quality nominations this year. The UK's tech sector is thriving with many companies demonstrating their ability to grow, innovate and disrupt. The deal environment has been extremely busy with a number of new equity rises, IPOs and acquisitions. The UK remains attractive to tech entrepreneurs and to new sources of capital. "
Phil Cox, head of EMEA at Silicon Valley Bank's UK branch, said:
"The UK tech awards are such a highlight of the awards season, with an impressive history of celebrating the achievements of UK technology and innovation businesses. Silicon Valley Bank is delighted to support the awards again this year and we're pleased to see so many great businesses nominated, from rising stars all the way to publicly listed success stories."
