On the 27th March 2008 Legg Mason Inc., Baltimore, USA, informed Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 of the WpHG that on the 20th March 2008 their voting rights in Deutsche Beteiligungs AG exeeded the 5% threshold an amounted to 5.32% equalling a number of 727,800 voting rights.

All voting rights are beeing attributed to Legg Mason, Inc. pursuant to sec 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with section 22 para. 1 sent. 2 of the WpHG.

Furthermore on the 27th March 2008 Royce & Associates, LLC, New York, USA, informed Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 of the WpHG that on the 20th March 2008 their voting rights in Deutsche Beteiligungs AG exeeded the 5% threshold an amounted to 5.32% equalling a number of 727,800 voting rights.
