Cembra and IKEA Switzerland launch the IKEA Family credit card

Zurich – Cembra and IKEA Switzerland are taking the first step in their already announced collaboration: the IKEA Family credit card is now available in all IKEA furnishing stores in Switzerland and online at ikea.ch/creditcard.

 

The new card combines the advantages of the IKEA loyalty programme "IKEA Family" with those of a modern payment method. When using the card outside of IKEA Switzerland, valuable bonus points are collected, which can in turn be redeemed in the form of gift vouchers in all Swiss IKEA furnishing stores to pay for purchases. Within IKEA, Family Members benefit from the well-known advantages of the loyalty programme when they present their card at the till.

 

The fully fledged credit card with no annual fee can also be obtained by the partner in the same household. In addition, it offers a part-payment option, and can be used in more than 43 million Mastercard locations around the world as well as online. In addition, the IKEA Family credit card comes with mobile payment options and various insurance benefits, and can be individually designed using MyDesign.

 

As a special innovation, this credit card is globally the first with a card body made entirely from recycled plastic (rPVC), sourced from production waste in the packaging and printing industry in Europe. The cards are produced by the security technology company and smart card manufacturer IDEMIA 1.

 

The launch of the joint credit card is the first step in the collaboration, which is also set to offer other Cembra products and services to IKEA Switzerland customers.
