Munich/Germany, July 2022 - Rebike Mobility, Europe's largest provider of refurbished e-bikes, is now entering the French market with its successful business model of refurbishing used e-bikes. The Munich-based company has launched a country-specific online shop available (www.rebike.com/fr) and is now offering refurbished e-bikes from premium brands at an attractive price. Further, Rebike is setting the highest quality standards in the refurbishment process - advantages that customers in various European countries already value and that make Rebike one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry.

Rebike, the highly successful refurbished premium e-bike retailer with existing sales operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, is announcing the launch of its French website. Rebike is the fastest-growing new online e-bike retailer. Earlier this year, the company raised an additional 24 million in a new financing round to realise the company's expansion goals. With the expansion into France, Rebike now wants to make its offer of refurbished premium e-bikes accessible to even more people across Europe.

"We are excited to offer our customers the largest selection of refurbished e-bikes in Europe - exclusively from premium brands such as Orbea, Haibike, Husqvarna, R Raymon, Kalkhoff, Flyer KTM, Canyon, Lapierre and many more.", says CEO Thomas Bernik.

Rebike's portfolio includes various models of all categories - from city e-bikes for the daily commute in a modern urban lifestyle to e-mountain bikes for active leisure activities and adrenaline-pumping adventure. The used e-bikes are primarily returns from Rebike's own rental and subscription business in Germany. In addition, Rebike buys used e-bikes from fleets of leasing companies, rental partners, and businesses. All models have low usage of between 300 and 2,000 kilometres and have been used for a maximum of 24 months.

Professional e-bike refurbishment "made in Germany"
Before being sold online, all models are subject to an extensive refurbishment process in Germany with the highest quality standards. Rebike opened the largest e-bike refurbishment centre in Europe in southern Germany in May 2022 and created capacities for the Europe-wide expansion. In addition to e-bike refurbishment, the 3,550 square metre space accommodates the company's warehouse, repair workshop, and logistics center. Currently, the company refurbishes, assembles, and delivers 20,000 e-bikes across Europe from the location per year. Rebike plans to soon increase this number to an expected 50,000 e-bikes per year.

Best-in-Class refurbishment is a core competence of Rebike and includes various testing and repair processes on an automated production line. In total, the process involves 140 steps and is carried out exclusively by experienced, trained bicycle mechanics. Additionally, all e-bikes are photographed in the company's internally developed 360-degree photo studio, ensuring original images are available for each bike. Each e-bike is photographed before it goes online on the website, so customers know exactly what they are buying.

"We take the refurbishment of e-bikes to a new qualitative level. Therefore, we are able to offer a full two-year warranty. Such a comprehensive warranty is currently only offered by Rebike," says Thomas Bernik.

Customers benefit from this quality promise but can still save up to more than 1,000 euros compared to buying new.

"We are proud of our fast delivery capability. All e-bikes on the website are with the customer five to seven days after the order," says Thomas Bernik.

The e-bike is delivered fully assembled and ready to ride in just two steps: align the handlebars and screw in the pedals.
