Used becomes like new! Rebike launches in France
Refurbished premium e-bikes from top brands now also available in France

/

Munich/Germany, July 2022 - Rebike, Europe's largest supplier of refurbished e-bikes, is bringing its successful refurbishment offering to France. On its online shop www.rebike.com/fr, the company offers refurbished premium e-bikes at an attractive price. All models are from top brands, three to 24 months old and mostly with less than 2,000 kilometres. Rebike has the highest quality standards in their refurbishment process.  Therefore, they are the only refurbished e-bike provider able to offer a 2-year warranty - advantages that it’s existing customers already enjoy in various European countries. This outstanding offering has made Rebike one of the fastest growing companies in the industry.

With the refurbishment of premium e-bikes, Rebike is ahead of the curve in e-bike sustainability and recycling. The refurbishment process extends the life cycle of e-bikes and allows people to reduce their environmental impact by purchasing and riding top-quality, refurbished e-bikes. This means that the e-bikes are not only offered at a lower price - the offer also helps to conserve resources, which makes an important contribution to sustainability and climate protection.

"We are proud of our leadership position as the largest and fastest-growing supplier of refurbished premium e-bikes and now want to bring our successful and high-value offering to France," explains Rebike founder Thomas Bernik.

Large selection, instant shipping, and final-assembled delivery
Rebike's portfolio includes various models across all categories - from city e-bikes for the daily commute in a modern urban lifestyle to e-mountain bikes for active leisure activities and adrenaline-pumping adventures.

"We are excited to offer our customers the largest selection of refurbished e-bikes in Europe - exclusively from premium brands such as Orbea, Haibike, Husqvarna, R Raymon, Kalkhoff, Flyer KTM, Canyon, Lapierre, and many more." Thomas Bernik continues.

One significant advantage for customers is that all the e-bikes on the website are available for immediate delivery and arrive at the customer's doorstep just five to seven days after the order is placed - fully assembled. It only takes two steps to get the e-bike ready to ride: Align the handlebar and screw in the pedals. Enclosed instructions and tools enable anyone to be prepared to ride in less than five minutes.

Used becomes like new - the refurbishment process of Rebike in detail
High-quality refurbishment is the brand's core competence and includes various testing and repair processes on an automated production line.

"We take the refurbishment of e-bikes to a new level in terms of quality and can therefore offer a full two-year warranty. Only Rebike offers such a comprehensive warranty," says Thomas Bernik.

The e-bikes are checked exclusively by trained bicycle mechanics. Defects are repaired, worn or damaged parts are replaced, and scratches or cosmetic blemishes are recorded. Next, the motor and battery data are read out and evaluated in a test protocol. All these steps are digitally documented and stored for each e-bike. Additionally, all e-bikes are photographed in the company's internally developed 360-degree photo studio, ensuring original images are available for each bike. All of this happens before each bicycle is taken online on the website. These steps ensure that each Rebike customer knows precisely what they are buying. In its entirety, the process involves 140 steps, making it unique in the industry.

"By having such an extensive refurbishment process, we can ensure the highest level of quality while offering transparency and additional security to our customers. The trust we have built is why our customers are delighted and happily recommend us among family and friends," Bernik is pleased to say.

Many of the e-bikes are offered with a discount of more than 1,000 euros compared to the recommended retail price. The used e-bikes are primarily returns from Rebike's own rental and subscription business in Germany or are sourced from fleets of leasing companies, rental partners, and businesses. All models have comparatively low usage of 300 to 2,000 kilometres and have been used for a maximum of 24 months.

Rebike's operations for the French market will also be run from the company's refurbishment center in Germany. Earlier this year, Rebike opened the largest e-bike refurbishment centre in Europe near its headquarters in Munich. In addition to the e-bike refurbishment, the warehouse, repair workshops, and logistics of the company are also located in the 3,500 square metre facility. Today, 20,000 e-bikes are refurbished, assembled, and delivered throughout Europe annually. The company expects this to increase to more than 50,000 e-bikes per year.
